Howard Reunion Beginnings
Around 1929, at the tender age of 17, Hazel Abrams made the life-changing decision to marry Odis Howard Sr. of Como, Mississippi. Together, they built a life rooted in love and unwavering family values—principles that continue to shape the Howard family to this day. Hazel, a devoted mother, gave birth to 16 children, though heartbreak touched their lives as only 11 survived. Their beloved children, from eldest to youngest, were Wallace, Willie Beah, Odis Jr., Eugene, Jesse, Herman, Bessie, William, James, Steve, and Gloria.
